For art, for culture, for Denmark, for everyone, for charity, for the fun of it!

During the Christmas months of 2010, happy® xmas trees will make Copenhagen into Northern Europes largest art & culture gallery. The vision of happy® xmas trees is to tour the various metropolises of the globe, as well as being in the state of constant improvement. Not only in size, but also in creativity and in artistic quality.

Kick off

The very beginning of happy® xmas trees will be a world premiere of great proportions November the 13th 2010 in the heart of Copenhagen. Here the event, the artists, the sponsors as well as other parties involved, will be presented to the public, the media and the Danish art community.

An urban and approachable exhibition

Following the official World premiere, the various trees will occupy their designated locations at the busiest shopping streets, squares, plazas and other fun and amusing gathering places where they will take the spotlight. Beginning at November 13th and running for 6 weeks, the exhibition will be freely accessible to tourists, art- aficionados, the average citizen and any other individual that will want to enjoy the marvel of happy® xmas trees, until the closing of the event happening December 25th 2010, at which point the trees will be collected and brought to a large public exhibition at Tivoli Gardens, one of Scandinavias most beautiful exhibition venues, that will run until the end of the year.

It is expected that the trees will be seen by at least 800.000 people a day, and that as many as 2.0 million different individuals will see, dance around and take pictures of the trees during the 6 weeks of the exhibition, maybe more. This is partially due to the expected locations of the trees, at places such as Kongens Nytorv, Rådhuspladsen, Amagertorv, Hovedbanegården (the main train station of Copenhagen) , Nørreport Station, as well as the highly trafficked walking streets, shopping streets, squares and other urban gathering places of Copenhagen.
